This month’s events honor religious founders, leaders, and moments of transformation, each fostering reflection and celebration within their communities. July Interfaith Calendar 2025 Highlights
Baha’i: Martyrdom of the Bab – July 9*
This solemn day commemorates the martyrdom of the Bab, one of the founding figures of the Baha’i faith, who was executed for his beliefs. Baha’is mark the day with prayer and reflection, honoring his sacrifice and dedication to spiritual truth.
Buddhist: Asalha Puja – July 10

Rastafarian: Birthday of Haile Selassie – July 23

Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints: Pioneer Day – July 24
Pioneer Day commemorates the arrival of Mormon pioneers in the Salt Lake Valley in 1847, a key moment in the faith’s history. Celebrations include parades, reenactments, and reflection on the perseverance and faith of those who forged a new path.
Roman Catholic: Our Lady of Mount Carmel Day – July 16
This feast day honors Our Lady of Mount Carmel, a title for the Virgin Mary associated with the Carmelite Order. Roman Catholics observe the day with prayer and processions, seeking guidance and protection under her patronage.
